I have learned how to juggle…literally juggle…like in the circus. But, I also have learned to juggle my time so that I have been able to attend night school, earn two degrees, care for my growing family and work as an accountant.
I was born in Stockton, California, but moved to Lacey 10 years ago. I was attending school at the time, then I transferred my studies to Saint Martin’s University and graduated with two degrees, one in accounting and one in business. I earned the degrees going to night school through extension classes at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. And, I was working during the day to gain experience.
In the last eight years, I also got married and have had three children, a family that takes up most of my time when I am not doing the work I love at Prime Locations as their Controller.
I have more than 10 years of experience in accounting, having worked for the state as a chief financial manager and as an accountant for the Nisqually Tribe. I really love accounting and believe I have a knack for it. I like solving the puzzle and I will hunt for that two cents!
Prime Locations is such a friendly place to work and affords me the hours that fit with my full lifestyle.
I consider myself hardworking, but I also enjoy time in the outdoors with my three kids, and when time allows, I do crafts for children or for the holidays.
Life requires me to be an expert juggler and I am excited to be able to contribute my skills as Controller for Prime Locations.
